Low revs Choke Closed?

New to a four stroke is this normal? Bike is a Honda XR350 1985 and has Closed, Half and Open and on Half and Open it basically red lines it. Im thinking carby tune but i wouldn't have a clue.

Back to the Question - Is it normal for a 4T to rev low on closed choke?

when you say choke closed do u mean choke off / choke not being used, allways a little confusuion when it comes to these terms

but if u do, yes it does rev a little low until warm

well on my bike it reads CHOKE and and arrow pointing up so when its on this setting it rev's low now down one setting which is half choke it rev's high not sure what all the way down does though

Anyway Bike starts 2nd kick so its not a pain to kick over
