speedo doesnt work?

guys,

ive got a vapour and the pickup on the fork guard. the magnet is nice and close, yet the speedo isnt working.

when i put my supermoto wheels on, it starts working. im confused.

Is that the supermoto wheel on the picture? Do you have a magnetic bolt installed on your other wheel?

thats the dirt wheel, and both have the magnetic bolt provided in the kit.

looks nice and close to the pickup, but no output on the vapor :/

Have you checked that the bolt is magnetic for sure? If not try swapping bolt from your sm wheel, also try lowering the pickup.

yep i checked magnetism, but i'll try another magnetic bolt to be sure.

the pickup is cable tied behind the fork guard so its a PIA to move, hmmmrr

is the magnet on one wheel passing higher up on the reed switch than the other? Meaning, you may need to skooch the pick-up down closer to the axle.

BTW: Instead of magnetic bolts, I find it easier to mess around with the little magnets that come in Magnetix toys. Just use some snips to get them out of the plastic.

I used the portable magnet in the vapour box just then, to move it up and down the disc.

the speedo still isnt budging anywhere along the pickup.

So i suspect the pickup or cable is busted...
