adams83 Posted April 9, 2010 I have a 86 cr125 and just finished break in and re blowing it up due to rushed assembly. i had it .40 over and now have to go to .60 so my question is can i enlarge the holes in the head gasket(existing 1/4 holes) that go to the radiator return to increase water flow to compensate for the extra heat around the cylinder from over sizing bore? or is there another way i can increase water flow or run cooler engine temp? 1987CR250R Posted April 9, 2010 The holes are sized to even out the temperature of the head, I wouldn't go about messing around with them. The first place I would look if you're trying to improve the cooling of your bike is in the radiators. On a bike that old, the radiators may be plugged solid. Maybe dropped them off at a radiator shop to have them cleaned.
