offroadcpa Posted April 9, 2010 Not sure if this is the best forum, but since I will be selling it in So. Cal, thought I would post it here. I wanted to get some input on what price to list a used 18" rear all black Excel rim where there is about a 1 inch section on the lip of the rim that is bent out slightly (yes it was from a crash where the rim hit a rock). The hub and spokes are fine and the rim is otherwise in great shape. The TT store had a good price on Excel rims (and I had a coupon) so I just bought another one. Any thoughts on what I should list it for? I was thinking $75-$100.
roggiedog Posted April 9, 2010 What bike is it from?
1.21GW Posted April 9, 2010 I'd say around 40% of new cost. So I'm thinking $75-100 sounds reasonable if we are talking about a complete rear wheel.
Mike in Fresno Posted April 9, 2010 is this for the whole wheel assy or just the rim? I wouldnt pay anything for a bent rim alone, rear completes can be had cheap enuf to not bother buying a bent rim and then having to do the work too. Thats what I think. YZDOC Posted April 9, 2010 Is it Aluminum? I think it's going for $1.25 a lb. at the recycling yards.
