2010 exc 450 lower seat height???

How do you or can you lower seat Height? On the 2010 exc 450 . I need to lower the seat about 2.5 inchs.

take the seat cover off, cut the foam... put the cover back on

I think if you cut 2.5" of foam out of the seat, you're going to be sitting on the subframe. My stock seat was already a plank. I can't imagine cutting most of the foam out of it.

I assume the bike is brand spanking new? Ride it and after 10+ hours it will "settle" down, the X-Bushing is a quick way to lower it if you need more...

Or you can just buy a ktm hardparts lowered or step seat, simple as that

Is this for the purpose of reaching the ground or better ergos between bars/seat/pegs?

If for foot to ground, have you set the sag? Run it deeper if you want, 5" is not unheard of till you build confidence.

X Bushing for the shock and run the forks up until they hit the bars. Also KTM low seat.

This got my bike down low enough that I can get on and off with out cramping up my leg trying to stretch.

My buddy has an 09' 530 exc and the first mod was a low soft seat maybe he gained an 1'' then the x bushing but its pretty tough grinding on a brand new $10,000 bike. Bought the ktm bar spacers and lower the front an 1'' along with rear, now he can tippy toe he's 5'6''. Its times like these I like being 6'4''
