Boot repair

Recommended Posts

Anyone have a boot repair technique? I've got a pair of Alpinestars Tech3 and noticed one of them has a one inch gash in the plastic near the inside of the ankle. Don't know how it happened, not really a big deal, just not looking forward to getting water in there. Glues? Caulk? Heat?

shoo goo is made for attaching soles, not filling holes or holding together tears. As someone pointed out, making a patch and using shoo goo may hold for awhile but the local cobler/shoe repair shop would likely be a better option.

It does work GREAT for reataching soles coming off mx boots. Got my foot caught under the rear wheel and ripped the heel off and it was flopping the rest of the ride. CLeaned the area real good and shoo goo'ed. Holding great months later of 2-3x a week riding.
