OREGONMX Posted April 10, 2010 So what if I only race about twice a year! I think a dirtbike looks naked without numbers! And what I lack in speed- I try to make up in the style department. After putting in the new top-end and my new red radiator hoses- I figured now was as good a time as any to finally order some custom number plate backgrounds. I toyed with the idea of going with one of the big-named companies- One-industries, FactoryFX, Decalworks, etc. . . but then I remembered always seeing banners at all the tracks for a local company based out of Battle Ground, WA called JJW Designs http://www.jjwdesigns.com/ First off- they're cheaper than all the big shops ($55) for custom backgrounds- 2nd- they're local and I am ALWAYS down with supporting the local guys- 3rd did I mention they're local? My stuff will come to my house in a few days or I could always drive and go get em! I am not all that creative so I didn't stray from the pre-determined designs they offer- I like the way the JGR bikes look with a hint of red in them so I thought some red and silver/grey highlights would look good on the old 06 250. Here's a picture of the style- Imagine black numbers on white backgrounds with Red as the outside color and grey as the inside I'll post pics once they come One more thing. . . DeCal Works' website has a great tool where you can tweek the colors of their numberplate backgrounds- really cool and helped me settle on my color scheme http://www.decalmx.com/mxbkgs.ihtml
