I have been searching and it looks like there might be some H6M bulb type HID kits out there. If so, that would make it much easy'er to run a HID bulb in my stock 07 WR450F's headlight housing. If anyone out there has found a source for an H6M type HID bulb pass it on. I want to keep the factory headlight and I'm not looking forward to modifying it to accept an H4 type HID bulb. BTW, I gave the PIAA 35w X 35w extreme white H6M bulb a try. First of all (against sound judgment and advice) I have been running my factory 35w X 35w bulb with both filliments burning at the same time for a couple of years now. For all you nay sayer: yes, it could draw to much current and melt switches and wires, leave you out in the middle of a dark night a million miles away from camp / home without a head light. I just might be one lucky SOB but running both fillaments at once has worked great for me for just over two years. Yes, I also cary a fully charged super bright flash light and some tape just in case it comes time to pay for such Tom Foolery. Anyway, back to the PIAA 35w X 35w extreme white H6M bulb. Not much of differance. The trail did seem a little brighter and it gave a little more usable light. The bulb does dim just a little at idle (running both fillaments with this bulb also) off the A/C side. Was it worth the $30? For me, I would have to say yes. It doesn't make me faster or want to shout, "wow, that's a lot of light." It's a small improvement but most of all, now I know whats behind curtain #2. I plan to order the BD componets tonight so I can get on with "floating the ground" for the HID up-grade. Soon all of these attempts to turn a lantern into a light house will be over, S/T.
