mywifefarts Posted April 11, 2010 How far, with the fork assembled does the jam nut on the end of the damper rod actually enter the seal head of the cartridge upon full bottoming of the fork? I have scratches that have been wet sanded 10mm away from the jam nut when the jam nut is fully tightened against the rebound adjuster bolt. If the jam nut bottoms out against the inside of the seal head casing, the scratched area will surely make contact with the bushing and most likely hit the seal also. kawamaha Posted April 11, 2010 How far, with the fork assembled does the jam nut on the end of the damper rod actually enter the seal head of the cartridge upon full bottoming of the fork? if it's locked against the rebound clicker assembly it doesn't touch the seal head.I didn't measure the gap, but this is how a fork is bottoming: https://thumpertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=777708&highlight=
