kpphotos Posted April 11, 2010 Has anyone swapped the front brake master cylinder of a 08 KLX450 R for a KX one. Is there any benefit in doing this mod. Cheers
curtjeaz280 My Ride Posted April 11, 2010 Here in the states, the front master cylinder on the KLX is the same as the KX unit from the factory. I am guessing it is because yours comes street legal and probably has a brake light switch.
kpphotos Posted April 12, 2010 More that likely, but is there any difference between the two. Cheers
curtjeaz280 My Ride Posted April 12, 2010 I would guess there may be more of a difference in brake lever choices for the KX unit than any noticeable performance, but I couldnt say for sure.
kpphotos Posted April 12, 2010 I think you are all right its the same master cyclinder, well its back to the drawing board to get some more pressure out of the front. Cheers
Grahamco Posted April 12, 2010 I'm almost certain they're the same. I actually have a KXF on mine and I don't recall any differences between the two.
