kawamaha Posted April 11, 2010 anyone thought of progressive fork springs to get additional bottoming resistance? no, I don't talk of common progressive springs, which make no sense to me because this is what the oil level/airspring does. I mean springs with a linear rate for almost the entire travel, then about 30-40mm before bottoming they should become much stiffer and help to prevent bottoming especially at low speed fork movement, G-outs for example. the bottoming cone is speed sensitive, so it doesn't help a lot at low speeds I think. I know its complicated to calculate the spring, and even more complicated to produce them, but I'm a bit excited to test that 👍
Stu2 Posted April 11, 2010 Would air cells not do the same? Good idea though, are ere any companies who do them currently?
