XR250 widest tire that fits?

Recommended Posts

Hey I have an 87 xr250... I do a lot of riding in the snow and I need wider tires.. anyone know the max tire size that won't hit the swingarm? I've heard people run 130/100x18... my 110/100 sinks right down to bottom right now so I was hoping to get 130 or 140. Thanks

Chris

don't get the terror-flex. it has had a lot of sketchy reviews. you could probably fit at the most a 120/100 (140/80) in there. I saw a guy up a walker valley that had laced an 18" rim to his front hub and had a 3.50" knobby on it. just barely cleared the forks, but i be it floated well.

Ok ya.. just did a little research on the terra... ill take your advice Alex...

I guess ill go with 120..

Unless that 5.6 cheng shim tire will work

Hmmm 18" on the front.... I wonder how that would handle on the road.. yikes

I ride walker valley... want to ride there sometime

Yeah that would be fun some time. I am in e-burg right now, but depending on school stuff, i might be able to get back over there.
