davcon Posted April 11, 2010 Can this be removed without removing Cylinder (see arrow)? Seems like it could be shoved upward and out but its really tight. Suggestions? The chain wrapped around the sprocket while breaking the flywheel nut loose. Way to go dad!! Its my sons 2008 YZ250F but I'm hoping its the same as my 450. grayracer513 My Ride Posted April 12, 2010 The front chain guide can only be removed by first removing the head, as the head holds the upper locating peg in a groove in the cylinder deck. I hate to bring this up, but it looks like the crankcase is broken at the locating slot for the bottom of the guide, as well.

We have a new damper on order. Hope the damper end will ride on whats left of the case.
