2010 crf250r starts

Recommended Posts

I've had best luck doing this on my 450

1. Make sure bike is warm

2. Get clutch nice and warm prior to start

3. Have bike running and pull clutch in and kill it with kill switch

4. DONT let go of clutch, keep it engaged and rock bike back and forth in gear to make sure the plates are slipping nicely. After this DONT let go of clutch till after start.

5. Find top dead center and then ratchet the kickstarter all the way to the top.

6. Go for it!!

god, are the new bikes really that hard to start? My 426 is alaways a first kick starter. I just dont understand why a FI bike would have such of a time starting. Im not saying they are bad bikes or anything but it just surprises me
