exhaust packing

does exhaust packing material specific to 2/4 stroke? I have some FMF 4 banger packing material and I was wondering if I could use it on my 2 stroke Pro circuit exhaust.

The 4-stroke material is different than 2-stroke material, but will probably work. I think the 4-stroke stuff has to handle higher exhaust temperatures. It might not be as quiet though ????

I ordered some leaxx (or something like that) 2T packing of rockymountainatvmc.com and it is really cheap.

I used some of the extra R-19 fiberglass insulation I had here at the house. I cut it to length, pulled off the kraft paper backing and wound it up around the pipe. It will take me years to use up even a whole 8' length of one piece.
