The guy that rebuilt my motor made a bit of a stuff up it seems, the pistons hitting the intake valves.

Mesuarement from the centre of the side? Anywhere where you have mesuarments, just tell me where its mesuared from

What mods? It sounds like the cam timing is off.

sounds like a simple cam timing issue to me.

this is the guy that "rebuilt" your motor with out taking the head apart?

So incorrect cam timing can cuase it? ie not having the cams perfectly lined up with those two little lines?

and not from the piston not being correct?

There are several things that can cause it. That's why I asked about mods. The most common problem is improper cam timing. The wrong piston could do it. Or bad rod bearings. An improperly built stroker engine.

So, just what was done and what parts did they use?

It had a top and bottom end rebuild 2000kms ago, motor is standard, no bb or stroker kits

So if I just get the cams lined up properly it would be ok? There are some light marks ontop the piston

incorrect cam timing or the piston being installed backward.
