john_deere_man84 Posted April 14, 2010 Hi Guys, I am in Calgary, AB, Canada. My dad just bought two 2004 Yamaha YZ450Fs and one 2005 CRF250R in Arizona. (With the dollar being the same, they were $1000 cheaper each than they are up here.) We are going to sell two of them to make some money, then I'll keep one. My question is which is a more reliable, maintenance free bike. The one YZ we will for sure sell. The other YZ was an original owner and literally only has 10 hours on it. Its just like a brand new bike. No paint wear on the frame, foot pegs look new. Original graphics and plastics look new. Original tires. The CRF is in really nice shape. Has seen some use, but overall very clean. Has red anodized rims, Yosh exhaust, and pro-taper bars. The bikes were only $50 difference, so that doesn't play a role. I just wanted some opinions on which would be a more trouble free bike. I will mainly be riding ditches and gravel roads, and go to the mountains occasionslly. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.
moto_x2005 Posted April 14, 2010 for you the yzf most likely.. both bikes are reliable when maintained, but for trail riding/free riding the yzf will prob. be a better choice
