The Columbia Gorge Off-Road Association is having a trail work party/trail ride at Hood River, OR.

CGORA Trail Work Party/Motorcycle Trail Ride

Trail #183L (171L on current maps).

Northwest Hood River County Trail Area

Hood River, OR.

Saturday June 12, 2010

9:00am – 1:00pm Work Party

1:00pm Trail Ride

This CGORA Work Party will re-route two small sections of Trail #183L ( old 171L) that are very steep and rutted. This is a popular single track loop trail in the Kingsley Woods Trails. Bring water, lunch, safety glasses, and work gloves. We will be providing McLeods, Pulaskis, Rakes, and Loppers etc. We will walk into the work area. Bring your bike and be ready to ride at 1:00 p.m. after the Work Party.

Directions to the Trail Work Party Area:

From I-84, exit at Hood River exit (exit 62), go south (east) on Cascade/Oak St., and immediately make the next right turn (west) on Country Club Rd. Take Country Club Rd to Barrett Dr and turn right (west), staying on Country Club Rd past Hood River Golf to Oak Grove. Turn right (west) at the Old Oak Grove Store and take Binns Hill Rd up the hill to Kingsley Rd. Turn left (south) on Kingsley Rd and drive exactly 4.4 miles. Drive straight (west) onto the dirt road (road # 2019) past the open gate. Drive 0.9 miles (past the trail # 180L crossing) and park at the Trail #183 crossing. Follow the flagging up trail #183 (left) to the re-route sections. Meet at 9:00 am sharp!

This is a reminder for the trail work party this Saturday. The volunteer hours for the work party will be used to satisfy in-kind requirements for our current Oregon Parks and Recreation ATV Grant. The weather looks great! Please try to attend!

Thanks to everyone that helped out today! We rerouted 2 steep sections on Trail 183L. Lots of riders came through afterwards.

Really? What pic? Royalties coming 👍 Is it the pic of 140 in the open area and my 125?
