BRP Jetting & Idle Problems

I have searched and searched for the answer to my question but, I have failed. LOL

I have a 2001 XR650R that has been uncorked with a FMF pipe on it. I replaced the jets with a 175 Main and 68s Pilot. I noticed that it was a big jump on the main jet from a 125 to a 175 when I was rejetting. The bike wont handle the 175 jet, it falls on it's face when throttling up past half way.

I have checked the valves and made the proper adjustments and the carb was clean when I pulled it down. I put the 125 main back in and it seems to run fine. My question is, why wont my bike handle the 175 Main Jet? I am about 1000 feet above sea level where I live.

The next problem I'm having is a High/Low Idle problem. It was doing this even before I rejetted it. It will idle high when I come to a stop and I can crack the throttle a couple of times and it will idle normal. I have adjusted on the air screw and I doesn't help. It is at 1 1/2 turns out now.
