7 year old spark plug

measure the gap. the Iridium plugs are super fragile on the electrode there, so dont force anything on there.

Looks like you have a lot of deposits from either oil leaking past seals/rings are additives in the gas. replacing the plug will help with starting.

But long life is one of the advantages to the iridium plugs with improved performance. Yes they are like $13 each, so you want them to last. Better than the $20 suzuki rm250 plugs! OUCH

JJ that shit on the plug is pump gas. Thats why its useless to read a plug on pump gas and you almost have to have an EGA machine to jet stuff crisp on pump gas.

Ive got an 03 with the original plug in it. I pull it out every once in a while, check it...shake my head and just put it back.

I did a leak down on that damn thing not long ago too. Just looking for a reason to put a 13.5:1 Piston in it really....but my leak down was sick...1%....So I did it again. Same thing...I cant bring myself to tear into a motor with a 1% leak down. Its criminal.
