New inlet valves: Kawi Ti or Faction SS

Recommended Posts

My inlets have pulled up a second time (at 002 and 003 clearance). So I shall get them replaced. Exhausts been fixed at 007 and 008 after 230 hrs total run time on my 06 KX450F.

Main question is: Kawi Ti inlets or Faction SS?

TT search of this forum came up empty.

I reached 150 hrs on the Kawi inlet valves before movement, and the idea of lighter springs and less timing chain load seems appealing. If I got another 150hrs from Ti, I'd be very happy. So leaning toward stock Ti again!

Only considering SS because I dont often need above 3/4 revs, and the prospect of zero future inlet recession.

Other questions:

I assume seats must be recut no matter what valves go in?

SS valves wear the seats eventually?

Thanks for any tips.
