rear spring for my weight, isn't ok or is ok?

Recommended Posts

When I look at race tech's website they recommend a 4.8 kg/mm rear spring, and list 5.0 kg/mm as being stock.

But when I went to set my race sag yesterday, based on this :

I found that all my measurements were all inbetween the limits on the race sag link. Therefore I already have the correct spring rate at a 5.0kg/mm.

I can only think of a few reasons why this is:

1 - All that beer drinking is catching up to me and I got heavier

2 - My stock shock has lost a bit of its "spring" and is weaker than brand new

3 - My weight scale is out to lunch

Any ideas?

what bike and what do you weigh. you can double check the springs at mx-tech's web site. they have a spring program there.
