suspension question, is this true?

Recommended Posts

now, I dont know exactly how it goes, but a friend told me that a mechanic told him (I know) that when you press on the foot pegs on your bike, not sure if youre supposed to be on the bike or off the bike, but the suspension should compress evenly on both the front and back suspension and the bike should go straight down, not one shock softer/harder than the other.

is that true?

ok... well my forks are a tad too stiff for the rear shock, but I like it like that.

manual calls for 320-420 ml of oil so I put 320 ml. I will lower the compression settings next ride.

my only complain is going over very big "speed bumps" while going downhill... usually they have a rut before them too. most of the times you wanna wheelie over them, but sometimes I wheelie over them and it kicks my rear shock so damn hard it sends me nose wheeling down the hill with my fender almost touching the ground its so steep!!! very sketchy and scary going nose heavy like that at 30 mph!!
