“…two-stroke markets are growing and Husaberg wants to be on the top of the line in the racing enduro segment. So it’s quite simple. we’re adding some two-strokes to the line and we’re doing it in a really good Husaberg way.”

I think it's great, it's nice to have options. I wonder how long it will take the Japan builders to wake up, they can't be content with KTM's offroad market share.

I suppose that was my thought when posting. Yeah, it's not earth shattering news, but it's nice to see resources being devoted to 2 strokes. The fact that KTM is willing to sacrifice some of their sales numbers to the Husaberg brand is a good indicator that they are surprised Japan isn't getting back into the 2t game, and that they think that sales opportunities are there. I really think that the 2 stroke movement is gaining some momentum, and KTM/Husaberg is going to be laughing all the way to the bank unless Japan wakes up.

looks the exact same everything as the 08-10 ktms but different plastic, and even the 6 speed isnt a big deal now that the 2011 ktms have 6speeds

Correct you are.

Not sure how this will play out in the end as far as marketing strategy. If Husaberg is going to do this, shouldn't they offer something unique other than different color plastics?

+1. Even though it's nice that Husaberg/KTM has put some pretty blue plastics/rims on the XC250/300 I was really hoping for something new like all of the Redesigned head/DI/no expansion chamber rumors that have been floating around for a good while now. Oh well, maybe next-next year!🙂
