Whats up with the AP nozzle?!??!!

So I pulled my sub frame to paint my coil white because Im changing the whole bike white, and I was able to see the AP nozzle in the carb.

I saw how the fuel stream squirts down into the slide cutout instead of down into the port like my 450.

Why does it do this?

Would it not be better to squirt directly into the port opening?

This might be part of the reason why it runs poorly.

Do they all do this and is there a fix?
