Exposed Nipple

Recommended Posts

I need help. I bought a 2007 S with the msog can already gone. Problem is, I am not sure the hoses are hooked up to the carb correctly. I have verified that the left side of the carb looks right, there is an uncapped nipple from the right side view. It also has a capped nipple in the center. What should be hooked up to it?

Yep, both the left side and bottom nipples are vent lines. If you ever plan on running through creeks I would suggest you put a "T" in each vent, run one side down low and the other up high under the tank so you wont plug the vent in the water and air starve the carb. Ask me how I know!

Review post in FAQ about removing the vapor canister. I have never seen the system but I'm pretty sure that nipple should be capped.

yes when removed it will expose the above nipple, as i thought it said it creats vacuum and needs to be capped.
