vibrations

Recommended Posts

Time to pull the right side cover and double check that the balancer shaft is aligned properly. I don't have any experience with stroker crankshafts on bikes, but if it's not put together right as with any crankshaft, it will vibrate real bad.

its common to have a stoker with a diferent piston to vibrate the crank should be rebalanced to compensate for the weight of the piston the counter balancer does not have to have its weight altered as its balacing a percentage of the horizontal movement .also even with balancing there still may be more vibration than a normal 250 because theres more mass to trying to be controled.

Yes the balancer gear can be set in the wrong position. You have to have the marks or dots lined up when the eng is at TDC. IIRC you dont have to remove the RS cover to check, you can remove the timing plug from the RS cover with a 10mm allen, set the eng at TDC and look inside with a flashlight. Have to look at an angle to see if the balancer gear marks are lined up.
