big gun exhaust

Trying to quiet down the R a little bit so put the spark arrestor in .It is a little bit quieter but it feels like it lost some power.Is this to be expected? If so how much loss do you figure? Thanks

The more restrictive the exhaust, the more power loss, you probably lost the **** factor.

Isn't it harder on the exhaust valves with a less restrictive muffler? (assuming a standard cam profile)

And if you are enviro friendly you might need to compromise on performance.

Probably the same conversation as no back pressure equals a top end failure, probably true if the jetting isn't changed to compensate.
