Best auto-clutch beginner bike for small adults?

Recommended Posts

Looking to buy a bike for my wife and some of her friends to try out. We also almost always have a new person who's never ridden show up with our group. Looking for an auto-cluch play bike that will handle trails and I'd also like to play on the kids track (I don't jump my enduro on the moto track). So a little air time would be fun too.

Looking at a KLX-110 and doing the adult mods (forks/shock, big bars, peg cradle) or possibly the TTR-125 which has a rekluse clutch available for it. Rekluse also makes clutches for the KTM 2 strokes (KTM 65, 85, etc). And we're a KTM family.

I'm 5' 10" and 200 pounds so I don't want to kill a small bike if it won't handle me. Wife is 5' 1".

TT-R w/ the Rekluse sounds good considering all the adult action.

If you're concerned about the bike tolerating the weight, the BBR frame cradles seem to help. We put one on ours.

Frankly, a healthy TT-R 125 will make quick work of teaching somebody a clutch.
