Best leak jet size for crf250 '08 with AP Mod

Hi Guys,

Looking to implement the AP mod to my 08' CRF250 this weekend - I'm bored of bog now! Can anyone advise on the best leak jet size to switch down to? I'm running stock which I think is 70.

Also, from experience can anyone advise if the rivet needs to be shaved specifically on the 08' CRF250 as the guide is based on a CRF450?

When you say "with AP mod" I think your on your own in the world of testing? If you said what the mod was we may have a clue

IMO the 40 leak will most likely be too rich for you, you will probably get a rich bog from it. Are you talking about shaving the AP diaphragm rivet? I would leave it alone if you are, you can get good results without doing it. Try the o-ring mod and a couple sizes smaller on the leak. I wouldn't deviate too far from honda's stock setup.

Cool thanks, I was going to have a look at the diaphragm rivet first and basically see if it needed shaving as some of them don't. I might just try the stock leak jet but logic tells me I'll need to go smaller with this mod as it's likely to need slightly more fuel due to the more aggressive throttle snap...
