dust seal

just for anyone else wondering, I just stick a flat head screw driver under the lip of hte dust seal, and I SPIN the screw driver to lift the dust seal..

I don't pry or push so I don't have to risk damaging the fork

That's the best way i find. 😏

Thanks. That sounds like what I did. I was just worried about putting a nick or gouging the outer fork tube (fork slider). It was my 1st experience with forks and it was actually pretty simple. Now if we can only get rid of this 105 degree heat maybe we can ride 😏
