battle of the 250s

Recommended Posts

All the new 4-stroke 250s are going to be good competitive bikes. Look at the crf 450 and yzf 450, they're both great bikes and you really can't go wrong with either of them. It's probably going to be the same for the 250s. Just pick your favorite color ๐Ÿ™‚

I donโ€™t think that one will be better than the other , I think itโ€™ll be more of personal preference, about like the 450โ€™s are now. If you like the blue stick with the blue, same goes for the red. Now as for the yellow and green, only time will tell.

I agree, it's all personal preference. It's nice to have choices. One thing is for sure, 4-strokes are the future. They keep getting better and better and are finally here to stay! ๐Ÿ™‚

The Honda is also scheduled to be $200 MSPR more than a YZ250F, that will buy a couple pairs of renthals. The YZ250F comes with Titanium footpegs.

Rumor is that the Unicam is coming apart at the required RPMs it takes to keep up with an '03 YZ250F, that is the reason for the release delays. (remember the YZ revs to 13,500 RPM and the '04 is said to have more power).

I'm fairly certain that the unicam drivetrain would be reliable and accurate way beyond 13500rpm. Piston speed would probably be the limiting rpm factor with the current stroke numbers.
