Wheel Bearing Tool?

Recommended Posts

I just use a drift and a hammer to get them out. Insert the drift thru the bearing on one side and hook it on the edge of the bearing on the other side. Wack the drift with the hammer and the bearing should come out. Repeat for the other side.

To put them in. Find a socket just a little bit smaller than the bearing and wack on the socket to drive the bearing into the hub.

Piece of cake.

A "drift" is just a length of steel, generally round. You can use a long bolt with the end cut / ground square. If you want to go hi tech you could buy one that is machined up and hardened etc but go the cheapy. There are also proper bearing removal tools. Special part number XYZ 1235. They cost big $$
