Exhaust question...w/ pics.

My pig has an exhaust leak....

First, I think the exhaust is a FMF titanium 4, but I'm not sure...can anyone confirm that from the pics? Second, there is a little leak at the front pipe. Is there supposed to be a gasket in it? It isn't bad, but if you look close you can see some of the black blow by.

Isn`t that pipe slit?????? so it would use a clamp arround it????? if not it should be or high temp silicone may hold........but i`m thinking silicone will burn off there as it`s probably too hot......

yep, it's split there...not sure if it is supposed to have a clamp or not.

yes the stock graphoil seal from the stock exhaust goes there and they recomend high temp silicone, no clamp.

Graphoil seal? Is that something that I should get or will just the RTV work?

That graphite gasket is at least 0.10" think, think there is room for it? I would think that there must be a gasket required there.

muffler is a Titanium 4 from FMF. Header is prob a FMF Hi Flow or possibly a Pro CIrcuit header. It is not a XRSONLY header like mine.

Nope...it's a pretty tight fit as is.

Permatex Ultra Copper High Temp RTV...good to 700F, let it cure at least 24hrs and get a proper clamp...it'll cook/smoke pretty good when u fire up the bike but it shud remain sealed ?

...between ur 70s pilot and this leak no wonder u were get'n significant popping on closed throttle decels

I have the 68s on order...hopefully between the two it wil quiet it down.
