how do you lean the bike over when jumping.

when i go to the track i see guys lay the bike over,how is that done someone told me that it happens when , right as your front tire is leaving the face you want to flick it.is this true ,and witch way do you flick it the steering .. i am confused can someone explain 🙂

It's called a whip, and if you don't know that, don't try it or you'll be on your head. Learn to jump first on a variety of jumps. Once you can do that well, work on moving the bike around in the air (turning front wheel, body english, etc). Once you're comfortable with THAT, THEN start trying some small whips. Start by coming up to the face at an angle. As you take off, lean into the face and put your weight on the outside peg. To bring it back, pull in w/ your outside foot and blip the throttle.
