training drills?

A friend made up a small oval track with tires to define the corners, then practices running deeper into the corners, more aggressive braking, acceleration, etc. Do a few laps and then reverse direction. Figure eights are also excellent for cornering practice. Also practice your starts if you can, most people don't do nearly enough of that (including me).

thanks for the replys. yeah the fiqure eight thing is great, the reson for the cones is i let off way before the corner start slowing down way early so im trying to put up cones and not letting off or brakeing until i pass the cones if i have to pass the corner so be it. that is why i do the cone drill.
