Advice on extra parts/upgrades for the long haul

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

I'm about to leave Texas-destination Colorado. I am going to be on my 08 TE510 for over a week and a half solid. We will be trailering obviously so have room for spare parts/accessories. Since it's not always easy to find Husky parts in a pinch I would love to hear opinions on what extras or even upgrades to the bike I should consider. I'm just trying to mitigate as much downtime risk as possible but don't want to get too paranoid.

The best thing is a spare bike of course.

I carry one of George Earl's Clutch slave o-ring seal. Extra Filters, clutch and brake levers, front and rear tubes, extra coolant, oil, DOT 4/5.1 Brake Fluid, Magura Clutch Fluid, spark plug, black duct tape, big zip ties etc...

Good list here - I'd also add an extra throttle cable, just in case.
