2 Stroke Petition

Recommended Posts

If you guys haven’t signed the two stoke petition already I would encourage you do so. It only takes two minutes to complete and it shows interest for two strokes in pro racing. There has already been dialog between the petition starter and the AMA. Link to petition below.

Yeah I think they really need more signatures. I saw a post saying they had 1000 and some thing so far. That's slot but nothing crazy.

I also saw the guy had a meeting with someone from the AMA talking about this issue and it sounded promising but like others have said, no pro is gonna go from a 450 to a 300 or 250 to a 144

Maybe we need to try reverse psychology with them? After all, we've been asking for a solution for 5 years and gotten nothing.....well, they did do the 144 thing.

Maybe a petition asking them to outlaw 2 strokes and execute the owners would have the desired effect???? I signed it anyway, but sort-of wish I had the minute-and-a-half back.

If they allowed 250 vs. 250 in the national pro class, or any other displacement 2 stroke, I really don't think you see too many guys switching over. That being said I think thats good enough incentive for the AMA to let it happen cuz it's not gonna shake things up too much. But I do think it would be good idea for the starving racers out there who just wanna be racing.

Oh yeah also I agree the pros probably won't switch cause even if they are allowed to race a two stroke with equal displacement who says the manufacturer will support it. Look at Paul whimbly he had to switch to a wr to get contingency or whatever it's called unless I misunderstood which is possible
