Check is in the mail

Note left on neighbor's door saying to send his

Hope to see you there.

And can you please make sure we don't have another freezing cold all day rain like the one a couple of years ago? Sure it makes for deluxe traction, no dust and awesome stream crossings. But hypothermia is very hard on the weak and aged.

I'm in again.

I'm trying something different this year.

I'm going to ride into camp (vs drive/tow) from Arlington with a minimalist camp load on the bike. My route to Natural Chimneys will avoid highways.

I plan on leaving Friday in time to get to camp with some daylight still.

I will ride the S500 on Sat, but not Sun.

Sunday I pack and ride back home.

Who wants to join me?

I dont like to ride solo that far.

Cheers

Yanni23,

Have you ridden the S500 in the past?

Its a nice ride (the northern-VA rocks suck though).

Word gets around quick that the law (Forest Service?) is working on shutting you down.

Here you have hard times and our tax-dollars are not only being used to turn off another source of NC tax revenue (rider-tourist hotel/etc.) for NC....our tax dollars are being used to pay for two clowns to ride with you for a few days vs do meaninful work. Heck, seriously I can see those two spending months setting up their "sting" browsing this site and others. I expect they took riding courses and practiced 9-5 work hours in order to not be called out by you as being the law.

Not very honorable work...I can see them now high-fiving their buds about their catch of the day! Not honorable indeed.
