Ktm 2008 xc-w shifting problem

When i move it up and down , nothing do, it's stay in gear , the bike run good , the clutch work well(the motor off,when i clutch it i can move the bike) , but i cant shift it.

what's is your idea about this problem??

The bike is 2008 ktm 300 xc-w 100 hours/2700 miles on it,all stock . compression 160 psi

Perhaps the internal shift shaft is broken. You can move the shifter lever up and down but it does not change the gears...yes?...or, No?

Sounds like it may need a trip to the repair shop.

Under the clutch is a gear selector cam and the bolt that holds it on could of backed out. If it has clean the bolt and apply Loctite.
