Flywheel removal?


I'm replacing the timing chain on my 02 WR426F, but i can't get the flywheel off. I've bought a flywheel remover, but no matter how much I tighten it, the flywheel won't budge.

Can I damage the internals of the magneto by putting to much preasure on the shaft it sits on?

Just wanted to be sure before I go hell for leather at it.


First, tighten the large section on to the flywheel

Tighten the center bolt

Give the center bolt a sharp rap with a hammer

Tighten the center bolt again

Rap with the hammer, repeat if needed- Pop it comes off
