worn out brake mount on swingarm (pic)

Recommended Posts

My brake caliper is a bit loose, moves a little side to side and maybe an inch up and down. After taking off the rear wheel and inspecting, looks like the mount is beat up pretty good. Any suggestions on a fix or should I look for a swingarm on ebay?

Check your caliper for wear also, the combined wear could be your overall movement.

Our's was pretty beat as well.

I juggled sprockets so that when the chain was adjusted the brake carrier was engaging a less-damaged area of the mount.

swingarms are cheap off ebay but make shure they inspect the arm before you buy it so you dont get another FUBARed arm. I got a 08 450 arm for 45 shipper few weeks ago.
