XT350 Carb Jets Set-up

1997 XT 350.

When it says drill out the pilot to # 76... what drill bit size is that? I've learned it is not a #76 drill bit.

What does shimming the needles do or create vs. changing the jet sizes?

What I was looking at doing is: SuperTrapp ISD2 Race Core Muffler, Wrapped Headers, Pod Filters (Or Swiss Cheese Air Box).

Proposed Carb Set up:

Primary Main Jet: 135

Pilot Jet: Drill #76

Primary Needle: 2 Shim Washers

Secondary Main Jet: 110 or 120?

Secondary Needle: 2 Shim Washers

Any insight? Setting up for street use.

bump... any ideas?
