1987 xl250r

Recommended Posts

Hi all, new to this forum and it looks as though there is lots of good help and advice on here. I am resurecting my 1987 XL250R from the unused corner of the garage and the clutch is reluctant to release properly, so I am wanting to remove and inspect it. I have got as far as having the clutch cover off and am at the point where there is a special nut that needs to come off to remove the clutch cage to get at the plates. Can I do this without the tool and without buggering up anything? Any help or suggestions would be helpful, I looked to see if there is a thread here for this and did not see it. Thanks Steve
