yzf,

Use Windex and you can slide it around to get it in place. Then squeegy out the widex, let it dry and roost.

Odometer and headlight removed. Moose hand and mud guards. YZ stock tank, IMS seat and number plate. Renthal Jimmy Button "highs" and Renthal Soft half waffle grips. AMA, SETRA, Happy Ramblers MXC.

I'm with you YZF. I tried all the tricks, Windex, heat gun, squeegie, cussing, throwing things, and even pulling my wife out of the shower to help. We still ended up with small bubbles and wrinkles. And this was with the SoCal backgrounds that have the little cut out's to make them fit right.

So I e-mail SoCal Decal and ask if they would do it for me if I send them my side panels. They said they would do it for $10 a side. It's worth it to me considering the hard time I had. Now as soon as I get my Acerbis "Orange Crush" kit, it's in the mail to them.

Man I know how ou feel...I was pissed out of my mind (just ask my friend Matt who was there)! The ONLY way to put #plate backgrounds on is to fill up the sink with HOT water and put some soap in there...then peel the stickers off and place them in the water (this makes em' nice and flexible) then place the background on and take the cool little blue squeegee (that came with the backgrounds) and get the excess water out! This enables you to take them off if you dont like how they look and it doesnt hurt the glue! This method will save you time and 50 bucks (since those SoCal Decal's are expensive! Hope this helps you before you go bald from pulling your hair out! :)
