How old of a bike is are you looking for?

Go for a 2008 or newer CRF . It has built in steering damper...and I like how Honda keeps the transmission oil separate from the Cranks oil. The UNi Cam head is the easiest to work on and maintain. Great suspension with the Showas. Good brakes....just an all around solid machine. If you want EFI then move a couple years newer...but for me the tuning of the FCR works pretty good.. I like my YZ just fine but the main reason I bought it was OTD I only paid 4900.00. I think they all are pretty good these days. Early on only YZ was solid but not true any more.

Ride.. I have only ridden YZ and KTM Love them both

Get the 08 Honda 250r it is very reliable and has the damper.

ktm 250sxf,

best valve train, most hp, lightest bike, better stock parts, etc... not really a comaprison with the others.

what is your skill level and what will ya be doing? racing mx? trails, etc..

Most reliable would be the Yamaha for essentially any year. KTM has the most powerful motors for essentially any year. Suzuki is the best handling for essentially any year. Kawasaki's 08 and up are some of the best bikes ever made. Open up the box of crayons and pick a color:thumbsup:

I have been riding trails, but now i am going to race at the local track. Nothing serious yet, just fun. I have been looking on: Suzuki 08, Kawasaki 08, Honda 07 with 08 engine.

I personally like Honda better.
