Crap! Are '03 CRF250/450 fork internals interchangable w/ '05+?

I bought a set of CRF 450 forks a while back that have already been shortened and valved for supermoto w/ a rider my weight.

I went to put them on the bike (07 CRF 450R) today and noticed the front caliper mount holes are spaced further than my '07. Yep, I bought '03 forks to work on my '07. Crap.

So I have a Beringer brake setup ('04-'08)and want to use the supermoto forks ('03) with those brakes.

So my question is:

Option 1 and preferrable: Can I buy a set of newer forks and just swap out the internals? (As in drop in the supermoto damper assemblies into a newer forks)

Option 2: Is there a relocator bracket I can use with the Beringer setup?

Did I make any sense?

Thanks again!

Dingo

Since the stuff has been shortened anyway, just use the 03 internals in your 07 legs.

I guess that's kinda my question. There aren't any issues by dropping the '03's guts into the 07's?

Thank guys!
