Allen head float bowl screws for crf 230f

Does anyone know where I can get these, or what size they are? I was thinking about trying match them up at Lowes.

We did the same - Could not find them at Lowes but did find them at Home Depot. Take one with you to the store and match it up.

If you have a "westlake" ace hardware, go there! They have a lot better of a bolt selection then lowes/home depot

You are right. Lowes did not have them, but Home Depot did. I think they're 4M 7x16. I'll find out this weekend when I swap them out.

just did this on my 150. They are 4x7x16 on that particular carb. Ace Hardware has trick stainless button head allens that are low profile giving you easier access in cramped spaces. Don't forget to get washers.

Put a tiny bit of antiseize compound on those screws and they will not sieze up in the holes.

I couldnt find allen heads either, so I went with hex head bolts the same size. Harder to strip those little guys.

Btw also if you can afford it, use a impact driver for these screws, and you wont ever have a problem!

I personally don't ever replace mine, I just use an impact driver. Even better, I use a dewalt battery powered impact driver, pops them out no problem. Of course if I ever strip one, and had to buy new ones, I'd go with allen bolts.

I went ahead and picked up some hex head bolts too. They we so cheap I couldn't pass them up.
