Threaded oil drain plug :-(

Changing my oil filter today on 02' yz426 and while screwing the hexagonal/allan key oil drain plug it got to near the end and just spun. i took the screw back out and noticed a lot of metal fillings. tryed it one more time slowly and its even worse now.. what do i do now?? ive threaded the inside i think

A local machine shop can do a timesert for around $40. I had to do this on my nephews quad and my old 400f. Never had a problem with it.
