Left or Right?

Going to take my front sprocket off my 09 tomorow and my buddy says on his yfz quad the nut has backward threads is this correct before i go and over tighting my sprocket?

don't listen to him, normal threads. Use an impact if you have one, I don't and I get mine off with a breaker bar, sitting on the bike holding the rear brake, sometimes they can be stubborn.

Normal, right hand threads.

Old trick: With the chain on the bike, lay a hammer handle or board across the swing arm between the spokes of the rear wheel, pushed as far forward against the rim as possible, and then loosen the nut.

Lefty loosey.

Righty tighty.

Sunds good thanks!!!!!!!!!!
